Timing is everything when shopping for a bargain and what better time to talk about it than now as the Massachusetts tax free weekend (August 13th-14th) is upon us! Last night, I had a few minutes while my oldest was watching Disney on tv so I decided to see what bargains I could find in cyberspace on outdoor furniture. I was looking for a simple yet functional table and chair set to use at our family’s beach cottage. As I was cyber shopping (visiting overstock.com, target.com, csnstores.com, pier1imports.com, etc.) I realized once again what terrific savings end of the season sales really bring. While I was looking at the items online, I became addicted to finding all the savings out there! It sort of became a game. As we all know, bargains are found at the end of every season as the new one approaches but this year, I think I’m going to bit the bullet and actually take advantage of the summer savings. My problem is that I’m usually “done” with the season that just ending and already “on” to the new one that is about to start. Unfortunately, I gravitate towards shopping for what lies ahead and not on the bargains left behind so I tend to miss out!
This past Sunday I was in Target and couldn’t help but look at all the summer home accessories on sale (maybe because subconsciously I don’t want the summer to end). Target had great summertime kitchen serveware which came in all different colors and fun designs. The deals were unbelievable but I managed to make it out with just a new pair of fun salad tongs (I just had to get something!). So, check out Target if you have time for some great deals!
